This Privacy Policy explains how Stars Calling (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our mobile application and related services (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Summary
- We collect account info you provide (e.g., name, email, optional phone), profile photo, and booking details.
- We collect device identifiers for push notifications (FCM token) and diagnostics (e.g., crash logs).
- Calls are facilitated via real-time communication; we do not record call audio by default.
- We use trusted processors such as Google Firebase and Agora to deliver the service.

2) Information we collect
A) Information you provide
- Account & Profile: name, email address, password (if applicable), optional phone number, profile photo.
- Bookings & Appointments: selected star, date/time, price per minute, and notes you add.
- Support: information you send us via email or in-app support.
- Authentication: if you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile info from Google to create or sign in to your account. We do not receive your Google password.
B) Information collected automatically
- Device & Log Data: IP address, device model, OS version, app version, language, timestamps, diagnostic and crash data (e.g., via Firebase Crashlytics).
- Push Notification Token (FCM token): stored with your user ID to send you alerts (e.g., booking updates, star availability).
- Usage Data: basic in-app events (e.g., screens opened) to improve stability and UX.
C) Real-time communication
Voice/video sessions are provided through third-party RTC infrastructure (e.g., Agora). Audio/video data is transmitted in real time and not recorded by us by default. If recording is ever enabled for safety or compliance, we will clearly notify users and update this Policy.
3) How we use your information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
- Authenticate you and manage accounts and profiles.
- Process bookings/appointments and related notifications.
- Send service messages and optional marketing (where permitted).
- Monitor and fix stability (e.g., crashes) and prevent fraud/abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4) Push notifications
We use your device’s FCM token to send notifications about bookings, availability, and updates. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. If you log out, your token may be removed or replaced on next login.
5) Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
- Contract: to provide the App and booked services.
- Legitimate interests: app security, analytics, customer support.
- Consent: optional marketing notifications where applicable.
- Legal obligation: to comply with law and regulatory requests.
6) Sharing & processors
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers that help us run the App:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics; possibly Analytics)
- Agora (real-time communications infrastructure)
- Hosting and database providers for our API and media storage
- Payment platforms (only if/when in-app purchases are used; card data is handled by the platform, not us)
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
7) Data retention
- Account/profile data: kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, unless you request deletion.
- Booking/appointment metadata and logs: retained as needed for operations, fraud prevention, and legal/reporting obligations.
- Crash/diagnostic data: retained per the processor’s standard retention to improve stability.
- Push tokens: retained until withdrawn, replaced, or your account is removed.
8) Your rights & choices
- Access/Update your profile in the App.
- Notifications: disable in device settings.
- Deletion: request account deletion via the App (if available) or email us from your registered address with subject “Account Deletion Request”.
- Consent: withdraw at any time (e.g., for marketing).
- EEA/UK: you may have additional rights (portability, restriction, objection) and the right to complain to your local data authority.
- California: we do not sell or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
9) Children
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data (e.g., TLS encryption in transit, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11) International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., standard contractual clauses).
12) Third-party links
The App may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We recommend reviewing their policies.
13) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be notified within the App or by other appropriate means.
